Cordy Gaeta Rice Scholarshop
Cordy Gaeta Rice was more than a friend—he was family to Neptune Warrior. His encouragement, strength, and presence left ripples that continue to inspire veterans and their families today. With the blessing of his family, the Stand Sure Foundation, in partnership with Neptune Warrior, is proud to launch the Cordy Gaeta Rice Scholarship.
This scholarship ensures that Cordy’s legacy lives on by providing veterans living with PTSD access to free professional coaching that helps them move forward with confidence and purpose.
The Cordy Gaeta Rice Scholarship covers the cost of certified professional coaching for veterans. This removes financial barriers and ensures every veteran who wants to step forward has the opportunity to do so. Each session given in Cordy’s name carries his ripple of resilience, encouragement, and hope.
Two Missions, One Purpose
Neptune Warrior was founded to support veterans through the healing power of scuba diving. With the motto “Healing Heroes One Dive at a Time”, it provides trust, healing, and purpose in the water.
Stand Sure Foundation exists to expand that mission beyond the water, offering professional coaching with certified coaches who walk alongside veterans in their journey forward.
Together, these two organizations create a full circle of support: healing in the water through Neptune Warrior and growth on land through Stand Sure Coaching.
Why Coaching?
Coaching is not therapy or counseling. While therapy focuses on treating past wounds, coaching focuses on building the future.
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as:
“Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”
For veterans living with PTSD, coaching provides:
Tools to manage stress and transitions
Confidence to rediscover identity and purpose outside the uniform
Strategies for achieving meaningful goals
A safe, stigma-free space to grow
